How to prank by changing the word settings in MS word?

                                  This can be an interesting thing to do when we want to prank our friends really lightly without harming their computers. Microsoft provides a very powerful word processor MS Word. Word processors are those tools which provide the facility to the user to type, format and store the word documents. Word processors have made the typing and documentation work easy for the writers and also it has a powerful editing or we can say formatting ability that has reduced the time period of completing the document and increased the efficiency of the final document. The autocorrect property has also made tremendous positive as well as negative effect after the outcome of any sort of document. This makes really clear that a Word processor is indeed needed for sure. The Word Processing software that Microsoft provides with its machine is MS Word.

Today’s topic is about the prank that is related to the auto correct feature. Typically it is a feature that a word processor provider provides to their customer for their betterment, but as a computer freak it becomes our responsibility to transfer the feature into a prank. ;) So let us hop in quickly. Below are the steps to do so.

Step 1:

The article refers to the MS Word. So first of all you need to open MS Word. To those who don’t know how to open Word – you can go to start menu and type in msword else open run menu (Windows + r) and type in “winword” in it and hit enter. “winword” command will open MS Word for you.  Now that you have opened it, the next step is to go to the top left corner of the screen there you will see a MS Office symbol, click on it. A series of option will pop down  and at the bottom right corner you will find option that says “Word Options”.

Stpe 2:

              

          “Word Options” will bring you to the Word Option window. There also you will find number of options on the left side of the window. But from that you have to choose “Proofing” option. This option contains major different options that will help you to format your text in your document. Now you will find an option saying “AutoCorrect” as shown in the figure. A new window will pop up that says “AutoCorrect –Language-”, here -language- states your default language that is already set in your Word settings. In this window you will find a checkbox “Replace word as you type” click that checkbox and select it.  There will be two text box below that, in the first text box you need to fill the text that you want to be replaced and in the second text box you need to type the word to which you want to replace.

EG:

First text box :”hate”

Second box : “love”

Now just you have to click OK and you are done with your task. To try if this works or not, just open the word and type   “I hate when people beat me” this will automatically convert to “I love when people beat me”

The Ultimate Prank

                            This article is going to be quite interesting to read as well as to execute it. Have you ever written a bunch of code to shutdown computer machine of others? Isn’t this cool to do? Don’t worry you don’t need to be a hardcore programmer or a hacker to do so, you just need to be able to work with notepad YEAH THAT’S ALL!!!!! To do this thing we are going to need help of the BATCH file. I hope you all know what a batch file is. If not then, a BATCH file has an extension of “.bat” in Windows and DOS and in Windows  NT and OS/2 the extension is “.cmd”. In the BATCH file you just need to write a series of code that can be executed with the interpretation of the command prompt. A BATCH file code can consist of for loops, goto statements, if conditions and several types of labels, after writing the code you need to save the file with the “.bat” extension as I said earlier (depending on which platform you are working according the extension will be there). So now that you are knowing that what a BATCH file is, let us get into the main topic. We are going to discuss about how can you shutdown or restart computers using the BATCH files.

Step 1:

                Open notepad, as you all know that notepad is as dangerous as it looks simple. Type in the                   below code in notepad.

@echo off

shutdown -s -t 60 -c "Hello"

let us understand the above code.

-s            shutdown

-r             means Restart. If you want to computer to get restart after the execution of this BATCH                       file,      than you need to write –r instead of –s.

-t             after –t you need to write 30 or 40 or 50

-c            means COMMENTS. You can write anything after –c in  “ “ EG: “ You are ruined” or            anything like this.

Step 2:

                Save the file with “.bat” without concern about the name of file. Copy the file, take it to someone else’s machine and try to execute it.

Step 3:

                After executing the file, command prompt will pop up and shutdown or restart countdown gets started. If you wish to stop the execution after double clicking the BATCH file, just simply open the run window “Windows + r” and type “shutdown –a” and press enter. This will stop the execution of this program. Mind that in some Windows 8 loaded machines the countdown will not pop up, so remember if it pop ups or not, doesn’t matter, your program is in execution and will definitely take actions as per your commands in file for shutdown or restart.

How to change the keystrokes of your keyboard?

              It’s a too much easy task to type with your keyboard when your keystrokes are working properly. Have you ever thought of changing the working the keystrokes of your keyboard? It seems interesting for a prank player when it comes to this task of changing the working of the keys. So here is how you do this thing. This is a kind of a prank, also on the other side we cannot consider it a prank because this thing actually does the change. So let us see the procedure.  You need to download  software for this.

Step 1:

                Go to google else type in the URL www.randyrants.com to download this software.

Step 2:

                There you will find a software named “Sharp Keys” and make sure you download the latest version of this software because as we know that more the latest, higher the quality of the software.

Step 3:

                After downloading the software, you need to install it and the famous procedure to install any sort of software that you all should know if you are reading this article is NEXT -> NEXT -> ACCEPT -> DONE. ;)  after installing the software, you need to click on the “Add” button and that will display a new window on the screen that will ask you to change the functions of the keys on your keyboard. The left section shows the original key functions and the right section shows the new key function that you want to implement. For example if you change the functionality as shown in the picture then, the functionality of “H” key will be changed to “N” key. Doesn’t it sound really cool? After that you need to click on “OK” and “Write to Register”. As I said earlier that this cann’t be consider as a prank because it really changes the keys. New functionalities are written in the register now. The next step is to restart the computer to literally implement it. Now after restarting the machine simply open your text editor and try to type the key that you have changed. If you want to undo the exchange them open the software and delete the exchange. Restart the computer  and your keyboard will be in the original state again.

How to change the color of Command Prompt?

                When it comes to Command Prompt, it feels boring to deal with it. That black screen with  white text force us to close it, isn’t it? So this is how you can change the color of the text as well as the color of the background of command Prompt. First open the run dialogue box with “Windows+r” shortcut key, type in “cmd”, hit enter it will open the cmd. Now that you have opened cmd, you want to change the colors. There are two ways to change the colors. They are (1) Using commands and (2) Using Properties. Lets first see using commands.

                (1) Using Commands

No matter you are in which drive or folder, you can accomplish this task. Now you need to type “color  X” where “X” is the color code that you need to mention instead of X. You can replace the color code given below with the color name. For example = “color A” this will change the color of the text from white to green. (And this looks really great  ;) ). Thing to remember is that the spelling should be "color" not "colour". The Command Prompt will give an error if you write "colour", so track that.

A = Light Green  

B = Light Aqua

C = Light Red

D = Light Purple 

E = Light Yellow

F = Bright White

0 = Black

1 = Blue

2 = Green

3 = Aqua 

4 = Red

 5 = Purple

6 = Yellow

7 = White

8 = Grey

9 = Light Blue

                (2) Using Properties

Another way to change the color is by Using Properties. This option provides you a good GUI to deal with properties of the command Prompt. You can not only change colors but also other properties like the size of Font, Size of window, Nature of Font etc. So to do that you need to go to the top bar and do right click. Options will pop up, from there select “Properties”. Here you can change all the settings from here.  In the properties menu you will find 4 tabs saying 1.Option 2.Font 3.Layout 4.Colors.Each of these tabs are very easy to use and understand.

What is IMEI number?

Before getting in deep let us first know what IMEI stands for. IMEI stands for “International Mobile Station Equipment Identifier”. IMEI number is a unique number that is provided to identify the 3GPP (3^rd Generation Partnership Project) and Satellite Phones. As it is unique for each devise, we can identify a particular devise with the help of it.

How to know the IMEI number of our devise?

The first method to know the IMEI number of Smart phone is by dialing *#06# and the number will be displayed on the screen. Else in most of the devises this number is written on the battery.

It is a good practice to know the IMEI number of your phones, it can help you to track your phone. The IMEI number is of 15 digit and IMEISV (International Mobile Station Equipment Identifier Software Version) consist of 16 digits. Each digit in this number gives a piece of information with that all the details of that particular device can be known.

How to block pop ups using Extensions in Opera Web Browser?

This article is for the Opera users. Our browsers get infected with unwanted pop ups from different sites and they are really unwanted and disturbing. We also try to hop into the settings to block them but then also times are there we get trapped by those silly pop ups. Here is an article to block them using Extensions.

Step 1:

Open your Opera browser and click on that small Opera logo on the top left side of the screen. That is your menu. Now you need to select the “Get Extensions” option.

Step 2:

                Here a new tab will open with name “Opera add-ons”. In this place you will get all the external supportive extensions that you may need for better internet experience. Now it’s time to search for a particular extension. On the top right side of the screen you will find a search box and you have to search “Add Blocks”. Series of results will appear on the screen, select the first one and install it. This will accomplish your task of blocking the unwanted adds in your Opera browser.

How to change the password of another account on your computer?

 Here is an awesome trick by using that you can change the password of any other account that are in your computer right now by just signing into your account. This is very effective tirck.

Step 1:

Open your command prompt. You can open command prompt by using run and typing “cmd” and also you can open it from start menu. Now to change the account’s password of someone else you need to know how many people have an account on your machine. To do that open command prompt and type “net user’” in it. The command “net user” will tell you that how many accounts are there in your computer, as demonstrated in the below picture.

Step 2:

Now that you know how many people have an account, now it is time to decide. Now type “net user abc” here, “abc” means “any user name” so type this in your cmd and you will see the “YES” in your command prompt in a position highlighted in the below picture. If it says “Yes” then and then you can change the password of that user.

Step 3:

Now you are there, only password changing task is remaining, for that type “net user abc *”  here, abc means “Any user name” and “*” sign is very important. Now cmd will ask for the new password and GUESS WHAT here is the main part it will not even ask for the old password of that user. You just have to enter the new password and it will ask for re-entering it. Again you need to be sure what are typing because it will not show any characters while you are typing your password.

Some important Commands for command prompt.

For all those below commands you need to open the command prompt and type in the commands.

1. whoami

                The first command Is the “whoami” command. This command will let you know the machine as well as the current user of the system. Try it else you can see in the below picture.

2. systeminfo

                The second command is the “systeminfo”. Now it doesn’t matter on which windows machine you are executing this command, this will definitely work properly. You need to write “systeminfo” in the command prompt and hit enter. This command will show you all the info about your computer that can be known for some system reparation else you if you just want to know your computer. This will show all the basic information shown in the picture.

3. tasklist

                This command gives you the output same as the task manager. Here we can know that what al programs are running on your system. This is very useful for the hardcode computer worms. Tyr it else the results which will be there you can see it in the below picture.

4. ipconfig

                This is a very famous command that can be used in cmd almost all people would be knowing this. This will show all the IP addresses related to your computer. Example you can see in the below picture.

5. notepad file.txt

                This is a useful command that can be opened by writing “notepad abc.txt”. Here “abc” is the text file name. Instead of abc you can write anything whatever you want to write. You can see the demonstration in the below picture.

How to make an invisible folder?

Step 1:

                Make a new folder anywhere you want and give it any name.

New folder with any name.

Step 2:

                Now after making a folder you need to chance the folder icon to “invisible type”.

To do that: Right click on that folder -> Go to properties -> Select  Customize tab -> and choose the “Invisible icon” from there and apply changes.

Folder is now invisible.

Step 3:

The folder remains there but it will be invisible. Now problem is that the name is still visible. 

OKKK I GOT A SOLUTION FOR THAT. ;) 

Right click on the folder and select rename option. Now delete the previous name and press “alt + 0160” on your keyboard. Press Enter.

Folder and name are invisible.

   WE ARE DONE!!!!!   The folder remains there but it invisible with no name.
